GLOBALMACHINEPARTS.COM
G
lobal Machine Parts engineers can rebuild most manufacturer's spindles to OEM specifications.

Your spindle's engineering team will go through a comprehensive, step-by-step rebuild process unique to Global, to ensure precision and performance. In our high-tech facility, our expert technicians will first put the spindle through critical diagnostic tests to indentify the source of the problem. All seals, valves, gaskets, and O-Rings are handchecked and machine verified for integrity. All findings will be documented and photographed.

The interior assembly is broken down into its components, which are then cleaned and all burrs removed. The exterior housing will be deloused in computer temperature controlled solution bath of 160°C, polishing away film build-up and debris. All pneumatic, hydraulic, and fluid ports are scrubbed by hand.

The spindle is then reassembled to original equipment specifications. Once reconstructed, our engineers will then balance it on a two-plane, hard bearing Schenck balancer, bringing the spindle to a 3.0g/mm tolerance. The resulting balance performance is then documented as well for review.

All hydraulic components, the lubrication system, and flow meters are inspected for leaks, proper operation and force. Temperature is constantly monitored through run-in at the exhaust ports.

Vibration is next reviewed, through Peak-to-peak oscillation numbers. If these numbers exceed specific tolerances for your spindle, the process is stopped. If any individual component does not meet our rigorous standards, the entire test fails and the unit is again disassembled to determine the cause, and all checks are begun anew.

If a part is damaged but can be retooled to be reliably used again, we will do so to prevent a new part needing to be purchased. If the component is unusable, it will be replaced with an OEM part at our already discounted pricing.

In some cases, we have on hand already-built test core spindles; if so, these backup units allow a one-day spindle changeout whenever a customer requires it, minimizing your downtime.
